Chocolate Fountain

A chocolate fountain is a device that is used to serve chocolate in a liquid form. Generally this is within heated fondue pots. It is common for various items to be dipped within the chocolate. These may be other dessert products. It is also common to dip such things as strawberries.

The chocolate used for a chocolate fountain must flow smoothly and consistently. For this reason, couverture is the most commonly utilized type. This rich and high quality chocolate form uses extra amounts of cocoa butter.

A chocolate fountain will commonly be designed for either commercial or home use. The commercial options are designed for professional applications such as catering. They may easily range up to 50" tall. Home versions are usually below 20" in height and are constructed less durably.
