Chocolate Truffles
Chocolate truffles have ganache centers. Ganache is a
filling that is commonly created with chocolate and cream. It can be
enhanced with many different kinds of extracts and liqueurs. They may
make use of other filling options such as nuts, nougat, fudge, or caramel.
The delicious center of chocolate truffles will have a coating. This
may be of either chocolate or cocoa powder. They are often of softer,
curved shapes. Spherical and conical forms are the most common.
Chocolate truffles will often fall into several broad categories. For
instance, American versions utilize milk and dark chocolate. On the
other hand, a thick syrup of butter and cocoa powder is used in European
truffles. Finally, Swiss styles utilize melted chocolate and dairy cream.
